We’re looking for talented Financial Planning Advisors as Citizens Private Bank has accelerated its strategy to build out Wealth Management, scale Business Banking, grow deposits, and expand in key growth markets. We are looking for individuals that demonstrate a track record of delivering a white glove experience to clients that results in long-term client loyalty. The Senior Financial Planner role acts as the primary financial planning advisor to a group of clients. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, finalize, and follow through with all work product for Advisors / Relationship Managers (financial independence analyses, estate plan reviews, customized financial analysis, etc.). 
  • Communicate with all levels and departments of the firm, prepare in-depth analysis of client's financial position, and develop a working knowledge of all services provided by Clarfeld.  (Tax, Investment, Insurance, Cash Management and PFP).             
  • Will need to learn / understand how associates and senior level advisors interact with Clarfeld clients within our philosophical framework and become knowledgeable in the processes that are unique to the Clarfeld comprehensive planning approach.  (Cash Flows, Strategic Asset Allocations, Estate Document Review, Estate Flow/Wealth Transfer Diagrams, Insurance Performance Reports, Balance Sheet & Ownership Analysis, Tax Returns, Education Funding Analysis )   
  • Delegate and be responsible for the preparation, finalization, and follow through with all financial planning work product for clients.
  • Delegate work to and assist in the education/training of entry level planners, as well as coordinate projects and assignments across all other departments of the firm, as necessary. Less seasoned Financial Planners will shadow associate and senior planning advisors.  

Qualifications:

  • 7+ Years Broad Knowledge and Understanding of Financial Services Instruments
  • 7+ Years In-Depth Knowledge and Experience of Financial Advisory Strategies and Client Management
  • Must also be proficient in reading and analyzing investment statements and reports, insurance illustrations, estate documents, our clients’ company benefit plans, and tax returns and supporting documents. 
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio                                                
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and consistently deliver a quality work product, well organized & detail oriented                   
  • Must be able to work independently, yet collaboratively work with different advisors and departments       

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • CFP Preferred - If the candidate does not have the CFP® designation, they must work toward attaining it within 2 years of taking an Associate Financial Planner role (unless a JD, CPA PFS, or other advanced designation and experience).
