IPG Health Medical Communications provides medical communication services to the healthcare industry. Medical Communications is the name given to the industry in which complex, scientific information is conveyed in a clear and engaging way. If you join the medical communications industry, over time, you can expect to work on a wide variety of project types, including publications, medical meetings and congresses, competitor analyses, communication plans, websites, animations, regulatory materials and much more. No two days, clients, or projects are the same.

IPG Health Medical Communications comprises of eight agencies: AREA 23 on Hudson, Caudex, CMC Affinity, CMC Connect, Complete HealthVizion, Complete Regulatory, ProHealth, and Trio. All agencies are involved in the delivery of a high-quality materials for the healthcare industry.

Our entry-level program for people new to Medical Communications is called Fuel (Future Experts and Leaders), which is a carefully coordinated training and development program for Associate Medical Writers, Associate Regulatory Writers, Associate Medical Editors and Associate Account Executives. Fuel combines dedicated training, consistent mentoring and feedback, and on-the-job experience and is designed as an accelerated development program.

This placement will provide the student with insight into the Medical Communications industry. Working within a team, our Medical Communications Assistant, will take on a range of tasks, which may include (but are not limited to): operational tasks (e.g. training material formatting, account resources), growth tasks (e.g. client research, gap analyses, social media content), future fit tasks (e.g. research into new tech), thought leadership tasks (e.g. Diversity, Equality & Inclusion in clinical trials and more).

The ideal candidate will have the desire to work within the Medical Communications industry. Candidates should thrive from teamwork and feedback and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Key attributes include: ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, deadline-driven, inclusive, open-minded, ability to follow a brief.
