What will you do?

  • Formulate compounds 2 to 3 per week; or as required
  • Create allocations requested by end users per SOPs and WIs
  • ULS resource will record compound allocations process in Alexion's systems per WIs
  • ULS resource will operate laboratory equipment for requested allocations of end users
  • Register, disburse, and archive compound allocations per end users specifications
  • Create labels of compounds per end users request
  • Work within BSL area to perform task, as required
  • Perform allocations either manually pipette and/or automation
  • Maintain training on HPLC, automation equipment and other support systems (CISPro, ELN, etc.) specific to roles and responsibilities
  • Inspect equipment for quality control per schedule and SOP specific to usage
  • Follow well defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOP's & work instructions.
  • Independently makes decisions and uses available resources to meet customer requirements.
  • Demonstrates proficiency at capturing, presenting and explaining job or site specific performance metrics.
  • Communicates with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems.
  • Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvements without the presence of site trainer and management team.
  • Listens to customer concerns, effectively diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times
  • Works effectively with a diverse cross-functional team.
  • Embraces Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

How will you get here?

Must be Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check to include drug screening.

High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Able to read, write and speak English
  • Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Fisher
  • Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics' Four-I Values
  • Must have one to three years of progressive proven experience

  • Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
  • Must deliver excellent customer service to include maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
  • Possess the operating skills to use computers and learn to entry data in various systems as needed.
  • Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet customer requirements as needed.
  • Must be proficient with a computer and the Microsoft Office suite of software.

Working Conditions:

  • Works independently at an onsite customer location.
  • Able to work overtime as required.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $19.64-$30.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
