Clinical Manager

Behavioral Health Connections (BHC) in Houston is seeking a dynamic and talented Clinical Manager, The Clinical Manager is responsible for supervising the Centralized Referral Management process for Behavioral Health Connections of North Carolina which covers three UHS facilities. This position contributes to management activities and meetings to assist with the implementation and upholding of the organization's policies and procedures. He/she is also responsible for scheduling staff and all duties in the Referral Management Departments.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides feedback to the National Director of Intake Support for the Referral Management staff performance evaluations completed annually.
  • Ability to prioritize and assign tasks and hold staff responsible for their completion.
  • Ability to utilize computer generated reports to analyze data and make decisions.
  • Ability to make independent and responsible decisions.
  • Directs the screening of potential patients for admission into the UHS NC programs and initiate the integrated assessment process.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Social Work is required.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of clinical and management experience in an inpatient psychiatric facility is preferred.
  • At least two to five years of clinical experience in a medical hospital setting is required.
  • Valid license as a Registered Nurse with compact license is preferred.
  • Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, evaluation, etc.) to be considered for internal transfers.
