Department Overview

PG&E's gas distribution system is the second largest in the country, extending approximately 48,000 miles. In addition, PG&E manages 6,700 miles of gas transmission pipeline, operates 9 compressor stations, and has 4 gas storage facilities.

The Corrosion Engineering organization is responsible for assessing external and internal corrosion on the transmission distribution gas systems and developing a strategic mitigation plans for the entirety of the natural gas pipeline system.

Position Summary

• Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross- functional impact for all of the corrosion programs.
• Applies advanced knowledge to wide- ranging issues.
• Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.
• Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives.
• Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.
• Manages cross-functional projects or initiatives.
• Quality Assurance & Business Process Improvement: May perform quality assurance and business process improvement activities in support of the business. Activities may include developing, managing or coordinating performance or quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.

Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need.

There is preference for the incumbent to based out of San Ramon, CA.

Position will require up to approximately 25% of travel time in work schedule.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum:$114,000

Bay Area Maximum:$182,000

&/OR

California Minimum:$108,000

California Maximum: $173,000

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Qualifications-

Minimum Qualifications:

* BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required

* 6 years of related work experience

Desired Qualifications:

* MBA or graduate degree

* Ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the department through data analysis, insights and recommendations

* Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact

* Excellent negotiation skills.

* Supervisory Responsibility- May provide direction and coaching to other Business Analysts.

* Creates new and complex data models to facilitate business decisions.

* Performs in-depth quality assurance reviews to engineering documentations (station reports) or System of Records (SAP, SD reports or Scope Tools)
