The Company
A multi-sited manufacturing business that produces millions of their products each week. Despite the current economic conditions this company is seeing an increase in demand. Boasting a turnover of over £1bn and with future plans to increase their product portfolio, this is a fantastic time to join this company.
They have also recently acquired two manufacturing companies which has further cemented their business as one of the biggest and most secure in the market.
The Role
As part of your induction there is a clear training matrix to take you from a military engineer to a maintenance engineer working in a manufacturing facility, this will be a mix of theory based and on the job training covering all production equipment on site.
The role of the Maintenance Engineers is split between reactive and PPM. There is a PPM schedule in place that covers all asset care periodically but due to the nature of the business your time will be split between this and reactive maintenance.
You will be fault finding against electrical drawings with a multi meter and covering the production lines. Electrical components include sensors, inverters, relays, motors, three phase systems and more. Day to day the candidates will be doing the following:
- Fault find using a multimeter against electrical drawings.
- Fault find through to I/Os, including changing sensors.
- Fault find and rectification in panels.
- Wiring and installing motors.
- Performing electrical safety checks.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:
- Must have previous experience as working as a maintenance engineer
- Must have an electrical qualification
