Job DescriptionParent Peer Support Job Description

Unique opportunity to join Maryhaven, Central Ohio’s largest and most comprehensive behavioral services provider specializing in addiction recovery. We are looking for skilled, talented, and compassionate people to join our team! Maryhaven was founded on the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in 1953, opening our doors to serve an overlooked segment of our population, women in need of substance abuse recovery services. We remain driven by our value of excellence in quality care for all and fostering a culture that embraces dignity of all. Maryhaven is looking for an outgoing, energetic, compassionate individual to provide Parent Peer Support as part of our Mobile Crisis Response Program. This individual will become a part of a crisis program being developed in Union County to serve youth and families in need. Mobile Response Stabilization Service (MRSS) is a crisis response and stabilization program that pairs a clinical provider with a Parent Peer Support. This team responds to the family during the initial crisis to complete the assessment, deescalate, and determine most appropriate ongoing plan for care. Follow up visits with this team and the family will occur for up to four weeks or until a warm hand off to the most appropriate level of ongoing care need is made. The Parent Peer support will have contact with the family in their home multiple times per week for up to four weeks post crisis response to support family, facilitate clinical sessions via telehealth, and assist family in linkage to ongoing clinical care. The Parent Peer Support will participate in the 5-day FREDLA Practice Model Parent Peer Support Training. Under the direction of Site Supervisor, the Parent Peer Support will be responsible for chemical dependency and mental health case management and treatment planning for clients who have been referred to Maryhaven for treatment.
