Operations Coordinator- Dispatch/Load Coordinator



Location: Onsite- Laredo, TX


Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:00PM-10:00PM Saturday Rotation



What work will you perform?


Join our dynamic team as an Operations Coordinator, where you'll be at the forefront of ensuring seamless coordination for inbound and outbound loads, particularly across the Mexico border. This pivotal role is integral to our commitment to exceptional customer service, requiring effective engagement with carriers, BCOs, agents, and other stakeholders. As the ideal candidate, you'll exhibit sound business judgment, adeptness in decision-making, and the capacity for both independent work and collaborative efforts with team members. Additionally, your responsibilities will extend beyond dispatch coordination to encompass vital administrative and clerical tasks necessary for the smooth operation of our logistics endeavors.



Essential Responsibilities:



  • Dispatch Load Coordinating

  • Using Landstar's Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

  • Serve as initial point of contact for agents and Mexican carrier partner.

  • Provide support and perform administrative oversight on managed accounts requiring complete knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.

  • Ensure agents are properly trained & aware of Landstar Mexico operations, processes and procedures designed to help manage their shipment workflow.



Required Minimum Experience and Education:



  • 2 years' experience in Dispatch Load Coordination

  • 2 years' customer service answering a switchboard.



Preferred Experience and Education:



  • 1 year experience with Transportation/Logistics



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)

  • Must be capable of managing time effectively and multi-tasking as necessary.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and make educated decisions under pressure.

  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel)

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
