Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Follows established procedures or protocols and utilizes aseptic technique to perform experiments associated with microbiology and molecular biology that focuses on bacteria. Be involved in handling mice and supporting study of bacterial diseases, their treatments and assessments of bacterial genes in mice. Operate basic laboratory equipment such as centrifuge, pH meter, analytical balance, spectrophotometer, light microscope, and/or utilize laminar flow hood. May also utilize sophisticated instrumentation such as thermal cycler, pipettes and spectrophotometer. Operate lab computers for data entry. Maintain accurate data records.
