Clinical Coordinator II
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong computer skills.
- Experience in clinical research, preferably in the field of neuroscience.
- Familiarity with basic database systems (e.g., Excel, SPSS).
- Previous experience administering cognitive test protocols is preferred.

Job Summary
Conducts research assessments on study participants. Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Assists with training staff. Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection.
Essential Functions
The Clinical Coordinator II will be responsible for the following:
Facilitate the development, coordination, and completion of clinical trials focused on brain tumor and cognitive function. Collaborate with neurosurgeons and neuropsychologists to ensure seamless integration of clinical and research efforts.
Dedicate 50% of work time to the implementation and management of a federal grant related to neurological surgery research. Oversee all aspects of the multi-institutional grant, including adherence to protocols, data collection, and reporting requirements.
Revise, renew, and maintain Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval, protocols, and consent forms for ongoing and new research studies. Oversee IRB application and maintenance processes.
Actively consent subjects for brain tumor and cognitive function studies. Administer cognitive test protocols to research participants.
Perform data collection, entry, and quality control procedures. Utilize basic database systems (e.g., Excel, SPSS) for data management and analysis. Assist in hypothesis generation, data analysis, and presentation. Conduct literature reviews and generate materials for future studies.
Must be comfortably present in the operating room for surgeries as needed for research protocols.
Physical Effort
Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time. Must be able to use computer, telephone, copier, fax, and other essential office equipment.
