Job Summary

Supports AccessHealth team by assisting day to day activities including but not limited to: eligibility determination, appointment scheduling, reconciling enrollment/re-enrollment activities, helping patients with billing and financial assistance needs, helping support specialty referral communication and processing, and providing general front-line office administrative duties.

Accountabilities
  • Maintains productive relations with hospital providers, physicians, community providers, and supportive services agencies to ensure successful planning, development, and execution of a network that provides access to health care and supportive services for the community's\u00A0undeserved, uninsured,\u00A0or\u00A0under-insured\u00A0population.\u00A0 - 25%

  • Directs and manages the staffing, supervision, evaluation, and termination of all AHGC personnel in working their roles to support community care navigation and the identified program goals. -\u00A025%

  • Works with state-level Access Health South Carolina (AHSC), TDE, United Way and other. Also, with the AHGC Advisory Board and its sub-committees to assess and evaluate program impact, to report progress towards goals, and to develop strategies to keep the Network a viable and productive organization dedicated to the population needing access to care in an ever-changing healthcare environment. -\u00A020%

  • Promotes ACGH program through contacts with healthcare organizations and other interested groups.\u00A0 Serves as conduit to private and governmental interest groups dealing with advocacy for the\u00A0undeserved\u00A0population.\u00A0 Seeks to publicize the AHGC to all local and regional media working with Greenville Health System\u2019s (GHS) Marketing Department.\u00A0 - 15%

  • Helps to identify and cultivate funding sources to support the operation and growth of the network, working closely with the GHS\u2019s Grants Director.\u00A0 - 15%

Supervisory/Management ResponsibilitiesJob has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports..

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree-\u00A0Social Work, Public Health or Health Administration or related field. - Masters preferred
  • 5 years-\u00A0Experience in community based or government health program management, preferably a hospital, public health department, mental health agency, home health or hospice agency, and/or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Mathematical Skills
  • Knowledge of public health/communicable disease policies and procedures.
  • Must possess program management skills required to run fiscal portion of program, while showing constant performance improvement and negotiating complex systems to effect positive change.
