Position; Product Manager

 

Kawasaki Engine Division is a market leading supplier of top-of-the-line commercial and residential engines currently primarily for Turfcare and other garden equipment, but also general industrial and other equipment.

 

Due to a retirement, we are offering a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to not only lead the development of the market sales with current gasoline engines, but also develop and implement appropriate plans for market entry to other product segments as engines and power sources, or other new products and technologies under development become available.

 

Main purpose of Job:

· To develop all aspects of our engine sales business via Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the Distributor networks within the designated EMEA trading area.

· To manage the overall representation and service level quality of the Aftersales and Parts network structure throughout our trading area.

 

Main Tasks:

· Overall responsibility for the creation and implementation of the strategy for the Engine Business

· Development of annual Budget and Activity plans, ensuring income and expenditure meet all agreed budget targets

· Leadership and management of the UK based Sales, Marketing and Aftersales teams to ensure the correct skills and experience are developed or put in place to meet the current and future directions of the business

· Support the Sales Manager in building and maintaining positive relationships with OEMs.

 

Experience required;

· Minimum 2 years working experience in a comparable leadership position, with all round experience of all main functions of the department.

· At least 10 years of commercial working experience in Engine business or related BtoB Product Sales in markets such as Turfcare/Agriculture/Construction

· Prefer experience of International markets.

· Knowledge of GPE (General Purpose Engine) market or experience and knowledge of Turfcare/Agriculture/Construction OEM standards and working practices highly beneficial

· Prefer Engineering and/or Business degree.

Other information;

· This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, based in Engine Dept, Japan.

· Within the daily operations, this position has the freedom to plan and organise the activities as seen fit to perform the duties involved in the job

· The role requires the candidate to be able to travel across Europe and occasionally globally without restrictions.

· Candidates should live within commuting distance from the Bourne End (Bucks) office, although Kawasaki currently operate a hybrid working environment policy (mixed days at office/work at home)
