Description
Investigate accidents and incidents. Conduct health and compliance surveys and sampling.
Entry level salary position in the Mine Safety Department. The applicant will be assigned as a General Inside Labor the first four (4) months of the program. At the completion of that period, the individual will be assigned to the Safety Department as a trainee to gain understand of mine safety and the responsibilities of the safety department. At the completion of the training program, the individual will be assigned as a Safety Supervisor.
Position requires interaction with front line supervision and the hourly workforce to provide guidance and education, achieving and maintaining compliance with Warrior Met Coal Safety Policies, Federal and State mining laws.
Essential Functions (90%}:
Interact with the front-line supervisors and the hourly force at their workplace to:
*Strengthen the understanding and adherence to Warrior Met Coal Safety Policies, Federal and State mining laws- Reinforce positive behaviors and correct undesired behaviors Accompany Federal or State Inspectors during their inspections Perform site visits and audits
Collect Respirable Dust Samples or other health related duties Conduct classroom and on the job training for employees
