Job Summary

Manages and coordinates the activities of clerical specialists and revenue cycle specialist. Assigns and distributes work to clerical staff and revenue cycle staff. Performs administrative support functions for management by assisting with administrative and staff details. Mentors and coaches staff, performs employee performance reviews, and initiates disciplinary action when necessary. Under minimal supervision, manages the day to day operations that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of revenue for the COSH clinic.

Essential Functions:

  • Assigns duties and reviews work of both clerical and revenue cycle staff. Schedules personnel and maintains adequate staffing levels. Reevaluates work flow and improves processes. (20%)
  • Manages the day to day operations that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of revenue for the COSH clinic. (15%)
  • Supervision of Revenue Cycle Specialist team. (15%)
  • Oversight of clinic's revenue cycle and billing processes including development of processes and auditing of clinical practices. (15%)
  • Acts as a liaison between clinical administration and clerical and revenue cycle teams. (15%)
  • Reports regularly on clinic's revenue cycle status. (10%)
  • Acts as a spokesperson for the occupational safety and health clinic to grow business and maintain client relationships. (10%)


Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.


Work Experience:

  • 4-6 years revenue cycle or billing experience and one year supervisory or lead experience required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of insurance systems and billing processes.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Ability to develop and analyze financial spreadsheets, prepare reports and manage budgets.
  • Ability to lead staff, evaluate employee performance, and address employee problems with tact and straight forwardness.
  • Scheduling flexibility required.
  • Knowledge and previous use of data entry systems preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record programs preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required.
