This role requires an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. We welcome applicants who have a disability.About the RoleThe Specialist Employment role is a newly created position in our Transition to Work (TTW) program in Perth South, that will operate between our Armadale and Cannington sites. (Home site negotiable).This is a dedicated role and opportunity to provide intensive and culturally safe mentoring support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, who are seeking employment, to re-enter education and/or that may have some current barriers and personal challenges.A highly rewarding role where no two days will be the same. You will provide meaningful and holistic support while unlocking opportunities and options for young people in line with their goals and aspirations. Case Management, engagement with internal and external stakeholders and agencies and marketing to employers will all be components of the will work with a small group of young people pre-employment placement and young people who are also currently working or in education (for up to 26 weeks) to ensure they are well supported and to promote sustainability and role will also work collaboratively with our L&D team to promote Cultural Competency across the program and engage and support the delivery of projects and programs that benefit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers.RemunerationA competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience.
