We are excited to be recruiting for the next important piece of our history and new talent, Audio-Visual Help Desk Technician! This position is responsible for resolving AV-related trouble tickets submitted by users of a dynamic Government program and follows up to ensure issues no longer persist.

The responsibilities of this role may include:

    \t
  • Analyzes issues and provides technical assistance, support, and advice to end users for AV hardware, software, and systems\t
  • Researches, studies, and resolves AV software and hardware issues of users, using all available resources\t
  • Determines whether the issue is caused by hardware, software, or system\t
  • Answers questions by applying AV knowledge of computer software, hardware, systems, and procedures\t
  • Logs trouble tickets and maintains relevant records documenting all symptoms, troubleshooting and resolution\t
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of technological assets\t
  • Creates and maintains user-training manuals and procedures and provides training when necessary\t
  • Makes recommendations to Executive Management on what types of devices and technologies are needed for efficiency and success\t
  • Conducts periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal AV function and minimal downtime\t
  • Confers with Programmers to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs\t
  • Communicates with software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products\t
  • Tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work\t
  • Performs administrative duties including but not limited to completion and submission of purchase orders, travel requests, expense authorizations, expense reports, and return materials authorizations as needed\t
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the United States\t
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

    To qualify for this position, you must possess a HS Diploma, or equivalent and at least 2 years of audio-visual experience. An AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is required.
