Job Summary:

The Pricing Analyst works with the Pricing team and help analyze pricing data to determine the appropriate pricing for company product using statistical models and other internal and external factors. This role will also assist in performing financial and competitive analysis of costs and prices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and drives the analytical solutions to improve pricing, profit, and other strategic initiatives within the company.

  • Assists in development of pricing models and ensure they are fully robust with an accurate representation of profitability (e.g. costs, pricing rates, P&L calculations).

  • Assists in commercial growth strategies across the business practices through customer/market insights, competitive analysis, and business model innovation.

  • Communicates and persuades senior leadership on analytical approaches, execution risks/opportunities, and execution implementation.

  • Creates and automates diagnostic reporting to understand drivers to daily, weekly, monthly trends, and root cause analysis.

  • Develops new data feeds that expand overall visibility into internal and external drivers of profitability.

  • Communicates and corrects transactional price leakage, opportunity, and price waterfall analysis to identify areas of opportunity.

  • Creates monthly/quarterly financial reporting metrics to track margin improvement from current plans being executed.

  • Acts as a team player and cross-functional lead on departmental projects and initiatives.

  • Proactively develops processes, tools and other means to continuously influence decisions.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in the Pricing, Analytical or a Strategic Function preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Natural inquisitiveness to exploring the data, mining the data and looking for insights to drive business decisions.

  • Strong analytical skills necessary.

  • Desire to help create and drive solutions within a fast-paced organization.

  • Thorough knowledge of Excel (functions, pivot tables, and modelling methods).

  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI preferred.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL a plus.
