About This Role

 

The Implementation Specialist is a critical member in our Programs Department and is responsible for implementing new design requirements into production as well as the fleet. The role interacts very heavily with our Productions, Completions, and Service business units domestically and internationally.  The role also interacts heavily with our Design Engineers, Project Engineers, Manufacturing and Purchasing teams. Understanding the aircraft build process, Project lifecycle and in service operations are ideal for this position.

 

In addition to implementations, financials are tracked, and cost-saving strategies are part of the daily activities. Gulfstream adheres to SOX compliance. Knowledge of SOX compliance and the ability to present to the board is critical to this role. Individual contributor role which manages processes and projects with multiple stakeholders. 


 

 

Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Mfg, Finance required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree preferred. Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job. 5 years experience in A/C design, manufacturing or service and support. 1 year project management experience consisting of any combination of supervisory experience, complex project management, and/or technical experience.

Position Purpose:

Under the guidance of senior project management personnel, leads cross-functional teams in the execution of project by planning, organizing and managing company and supplier resources to meet assigned project cost and schedule milestones. Ensure project completion of production and completions requirements, operational objectives, work plans, project and integrated schedules and implementation strategy. Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Develop Production and In-service Implementation Plan of a complex nature .
  2. Manage Supplier negotiations and agreements .
  3. Estimate cost of Implementation Plan execution .
  4. Lead the development of In-Service New Product incorporation or Retrofit .
  5. Obtain approval from Governance Board for Program Implementation Costs .
  6. Manage design incorporation into Production or Completions manufacturing process .

Additional Functions:
  1. Manage the procurement of required. Program Part and/or Kit Inventory .
  2. Manage completion of special training and tooling procurement for all Service Center sites .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Requires knowledge of Aircraft Production, Engineering, Quality, Completion, Material and Support operations.
  2. Requires an understanding of Project Management processes and an understanding of in service A/C operations.
