JOB SUMMARY:
The Loan Officer Assistant will assist in facilitating the origination and completion of residential mortgage loan applications, collect, analyze, and review supporting loan documentation in accordance with loan guidelines, and provide support throughout the loan application process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Works alongside loan officers to assist with client loan applications.
* Responsible for the department's administrative responsibilities.
* Serves as an ongoing point of contact for clients, helping them collect required information and complete any necessary documents throughout the loan process.
* Assists and coordinates internal parties involved in the loan application process, including mortgage loan officers, underwriters, and realtors.
* Gathers information for new loan underwriting, including credit reports, tax filings, business entity searches, and title work.
* Compiles complete application packages for submission to Mortgage Operations
* Maintains an open line of communication with the Loan Officer and Mortgage Operations to assist in facilitating a smooth loan process for the borrower and referral source.
* Provides customer service over the phone, face to face, via email in a timely and professional manner, while looking for opportunities to increase the customer's relationship with the Bank.
* Coordinates the MLO's application (client) with all departments within Residential Lending per the MLO's needs.
* Uses discretion in determining whether the borrower can use Day 1 Certainty, whether or not they may qualify for a different type of loan product, whether or not a change of circumstance may be necessary.
* Manages the Loan Officers active pipeline and Monitors closing dates and rate locks and determines if a rate lock extension or a closing date change request needs to be requested and completes those requests as needed.
* Reviews appraisal valuations to determine if any adjustments need to be made to the loan amount and notifies the loan officer and borrower.
* Subject matter expert for the MLO's client on Seacoast's origination process.
* Responsible for working with both internal and external partners and COIs to enhance the Seacoast Bank customer relationship. Necessary to keep partners up-to-date and in the loop as the transaction progresses, and vital that client's privacy is maintained when it comes to matters related to credit qualifying.
* Preparation and representation of the MLO in the marketplace as MLO needs.
* Representation of the MLO via Seacoast's Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
* Must be flexible with schedule, partnering with MLO with their availability.
* Adheres to Seacoast Bank's code of conduct.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* 3-5 years' experience in a supportive or originating role within the lending industry
* Previous experience in the mortgage or loan industry in a similar administrative role.
* Experience and credibility of maintaining high level of confidentiality.
* High School Diploma or GED is required.
* Excellent communication skills.
