They are responsible for the timely reporting of any know risks to the financial results. They should develop efficient systems and controls across Northcott’s financial processes to ensure efficiencies are continuously found to facilitate the increasing complex business models underpinning Northcott’s typical duties of this position include:Analysis and reporting of subsidiary entity results.Leading General Ledger and Accounts Payable teams.Management of the General Ledger.Oversee and review the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations ensuring timely completion and resolution of reconciling items.Assist with the preparation work of interim and final external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and of high quality.Implement initiatives that result from internal or external audits or reviews.Coordination of the acquittal processes for bulk funded programs.Finance ERP system administration, and the monitoring and implementation of efficiencies gained from system upgrades.Ensuring the insurances renewal process is efficient and that an optimal outcome for Northcott is achieved.Cash Management and forecasting of cash balances and investment draw down requirements.Assist with preparation of annual consolidation work papers.Reviewing BAS returns and other tax-related returns such as franking credits and FBT.Manage the monthly and annual close process.Assess the impact of and implement new accounting standards.Prepare accounting papers to support key accounting treatments.Advise business stakeholders on key accounting treatments to optimise commercial outcomes.Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place.Responsible for the development, coaching and performance of direct reports.Reviews processes and makes recommendations on risks, efficiencies and accuracy.Update ACNC for reporting requirements.Ensuring Accounts Payable team are processing invoices on a timely and accurate basis, and payment terms are met.Ensuring bank reconciliations are prepared on a daily basis.Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other Northcott services and departments.Adhere to Northcott policies and procedures, in particular, the Code of Conduct.Comply with, report on and actively participate in Northcott’s Safety & Injury Management Procedures and Northcott’s WH&S Procedures.Other duties as determined by Manager.What are we looking for?High attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work and meet competing deadlines.Ability to work independently.Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build professional relationships and effectively communicate with internal and external accepting the status quo.
