The Laboratory Products Division (LPD) unites deep scientific expertise, a collaborative culture, and rich resources to deliver the laboratory equipment that our customers need to achieve their scientific goals - quickly, reliably, and safely. This position will be an integral part of the Laboratory Equipment business finance team to support the delivery of our near and long-term financial objectives within Operations organization. The scope of responsibilities includes planning, analysis & reporting to achieve financial goals and initiatives to support a growing organization!

Position Summary: How will you make an impact?

Reporting to the Sr. Finance Manager, Laboratory Equipment Operations, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to support streamlined reporting processes for manufacturing locations around the world of the $1.3 billion Laboratory Equipment Business (LE). With a focus on consistency and efficiency, the role will be tasked with improving our reporting and consolidation processes for business metrics in Sourcing, Productivity, Inventory, Delivery and Capital. This position offers the candidate exposure to operations leadership and a diverse workload with the objective of driving improved business performance globally.

What will you do?

  • Partner with BU and operations leaders to deliver LE's goals.
  • Consolidate and accurately report LE daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operations performance metrics in a timely manner.
  • Develop standard work and drive global reporting along with review processes.
  • Track and manage sites' Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Operating Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and provide accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Support the planning, preparation, and execution of the Annual Budgeting (AOP) process for global Factory Operations
  • Assist in consolidating and preparing divisional Monthly Business Reviews and quarterly deliverables for corporate reporting.
  • Identify underlying business drivers causing variances and support operations leadership with analyses and reports on their performance measurements around factory productivity (i.e. material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption)
  • Support ad-hoc site, business unit, division, group, and corporate requests as needed.

Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or business administration
  • 3-6 years of direct experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting preferably within a global manufacturing organization
  • Ability to develop high level of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with colleagues and leaders across multiple sites and divisions.
  • Clear understanding of operating and cost drivers, with the ability to translate and interpret these within financial results.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills when dealing with all levels within our organization.
  • Strong problem solving, data analysis and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP or equivalent); Reporting tools (CMR, HFM) along with sophisticated Excel skills (Macros, Power Query, Pivots)
  • Ability to perform optimally under pressure and to prioritize assignments simultaneously.
  • Self-starter - ability to work independently in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with high bias for action.
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry is a plus.
