Zen Educate is looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to children’s educational journey and their communities. Substitute teachers will support children in the classroom and gain exposure to schools and invaluable experience. Ideal Candidates: Retired teachers who still want to work and contribute to children learning; but do not want to grade assignments, lesson plans, or take on additional responsibilities. Graduate students who are looking to gain experience and classroom management skills. An opportunity to build relationships with schools and get some invaluable experience. Working professionals looking to transition to more meaningful work that contributes to society and the development of children need to gain some school experience. Key Responsibilities: Support the school where needed Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning Assign lessons and follow the classroom teacher’s lesson plans Maintaining a safe learning environment Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the students’ learning experiences and support them as needed Minimum Requirements: MN Short Call Substitute Teaching License or higher (If you have a bachelor's degree, Zen can help guide you through the process to get licensed and apply for a Short Call Substitute License.) Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university Preferred Requirements: Tier 3 or 4 MN teaching license Master's Degree Accredited Teacher Preparation Program Additional Requirements: Additional requirements include US Work Authorization.
