About the Job:

The Sales Support Manager will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the sales department, ensuring smooth and efficient sales operations. This role will partner with the sales team, operations, and the customer to provide the best solution.



In This Role, You Will:



  • Supervise and mentor the sales support team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and productivity.

  • Manage the sales order process from receipt to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of products or services to customers.

  • Collaborate with sales leaders to forecast sales targets and track performance against goals, providing regular reports and analysis.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sales team inquiries and requests for support, resolving issues and escalating as needed.

  • Coordinate with other departments, including customer service, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration in support of sales objectives.

  • Oversee the maintenance and organization of sales-related documentation and records, including contracts, proposals, and customer information.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance sales support operations.

  • Provide training and ongoing support to sales team members on sales support processes, tools, and systems.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in sales support and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.

  • Manage performance metrics associated with the RFP process.

  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of sales materials, including proposals, and contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.

  • Manage and optimize the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to ensure sales teams have access to current and prospective client information.

  • Analyze sales data and reports to identify trends, forecast future sales, and provide insights to the sales team for strategic planning.

  • Liaise with the marketing department to align sales strategies with marketing campaigns and ensure consistent messaging across platforms.

  • Understand client needs, tailor solutions alongside the sales team, and facilitate the implementation of products or services that address specific challenges or goals.

Required:




  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in logistics, sales support, or customer service roles within the transportation or logistics industry is advantageous.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales support, sales operations, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong understanding of sales processes and procedures, with the ability to develop and implement best practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales support tools (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics to drive informed decision-making.

  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.



Desired:




  • Certification in sales operations or related field is a plus.



Location: This is an in-office role based in Charlotte, NC.


Approximately 5% travel is anticipated.
