Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. Position Summary

The driver is responsible for the daily transportation of patients to and from Outpatient Services of Mayhill Hospital (as well as occasional transport of inpatient discharges). The driver is also responsible for behavioral management of patients while en-route and for reporting to the Director any behavioral or safety issues.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide transportation of patients to and from facility
• Interact with multidisciplinary team to provide input related to patient management while in transport. Hands off communication is completed both pre and post trip as indicated
• Report any vehicle safety or operational issues to Transportation Coordinator

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience driving a van/small bus

License: Current TX driver's license with a clear driving record.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation training before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
