Mammoth Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a General Laborer to work out of our transfer station located in Mammoth, CA!
This is a great opportunity for full time, year round work! We offer family benefits, 401k with a match and paid vacation.
The schedule will most likely be Thursday through Monday, 6:30am-3:30pm or 10:30am-7:00pm. Starting pay is $20 per hour. The pay range for this job category is $20 - $22.90 per hour.
In this position you will be working very independently. You will beinteracting with the public, doing cash-handling and computer work, and handling labor-intensive tasks on-site. Must have excellent customer service and cash handling skills, as well as the ability to stand and do physically demanding work throughout an 8 hour shift.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry to the Transfer Station
- Calculating payments for customers
- Enter truck, car information into computer system
- Ensuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Data entry and answering phones as needed
- Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
- Cleaning, sweeping and pressure washing equipment
- Providing general upkeep of the Scale House
- Heavy lifting of equipment and material
- Learn to operate forklift and bobcat
Requirements:
- Customer service skills and a great attitude
- Cash handling experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand throughout an 8 hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work weekends
