The Domestic Transportation Agent I we are looking for is a team player that will be supporting AIT stations with carrier related issues (Tracking, Tracing, OSD etc.) Will utilize good interpersonal skills to communicate directly with ground carriers and airline contacts on destressed shipments. Will complete various administrative functions within the AS/400 system

Respond to carrier Escalation Issues. Assist in identifying & improving carrier service-related issues.

• Update & Maintain Ground Carrier Tariffs in the AS 400 system

• Run carrier volume & expense reports to prepare for monthly and quarterly reviews

• Maintain the AIT Resource Center page for ROAD with Ground Carrier Announcements & Tariff Updates.

• Assist in AS/400 Enhancements to create system efficiencies

• Troubleshoot AS/400 issues and work with IT to resolution

• Follow up directly with ground carrier contacts to help resolve OS&D over, short, damaged shipments.

• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

Other Skills We Hope to See:

• High School/GED required - Associates degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year Customer Service or Tracking experience in a freight forwarding environment
• Prior experience working with AS400 a plus!
• Knowledge of U.S. geography and airport codes a plus
• Basic to intermediate PC skills - MS Office
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time and tasks.
• Detail-oriented individual
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
