Responsibilities:

Note, the shift/hours worked will change throughout the year depending on production needs. Must be open to working any shift, but mainly 2nd and 3rd.

Supervise Warehouse is responsible for labeling, storage, and inventory under the direction of the Warehouse Manager to optimize costs to achieve planned fixed and variable cost targets, ensure compliance with Del Monte Policies and Procedures which include Good Manufacturing Practices, Employee Safety, Quality, and Food Safety Systems.

• Supervise employees to achieve labeling and storage targets
• Assist in coordinating maintenance activities for warehouse equipment.
• Maintain effective employee relations to improve motivation and productivity through the use of continuousimprovement and lean manufacturing concepts. Maximize the use of personnel.
• Utilize GMP, Safety, and Environmental programs to ensure that Del Monte, State and Federal requirementsare achieved.
• Ensure labeling production utilizes proper materials and packaging specs per bill of materials.
• Participate in the annual physical finished goods inventory.
• Ensure product safety through development, review, and enforcement of company policy.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and corporate food safety regulatory standards.
• Review and enforce company quality standards provided by facility, regional and corporate quality authorities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent. A Technical Degree in Distribution, Logistics, Inventory Control, Supply Chain, & Transportation is highly preferred.
• Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or other Natural Science degrees preferred. Other degrees will be considered.
• 3-5 years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, pullies, etc. is required. Must have a mechanical inclined.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and loss.
• Knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, and GFSI programs (BRCGS, SQF).
• Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Previous experience in a food-processing or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Must be open to working 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift. Shifts will change throughout the year depending on production needs. 2nd shift is 2pm-10pm and 3rd shift is 10pm to 6am. Ability to work weekends and/or shift work with a strong work ethic and employment history.
