This position provides students with Hands-on experience in IT support, infrastructure management, and project implementation within a nonprofit setting. Practical skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration, honing their ability to address real-world IT issues. Mentorship and guidance from experienced IT professionals, fostering personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities may include:

Provide technical support to staff members, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.

Assist in reorganizing the IS room, including sorting and categorizing IT equipment, tracking, labeling inventory, and ensuring a clean and orderly workspace.

Support setting up and maintaining conference room technology, ensuring all systems are operational and ready for use during meetings and presentations.

Assist in maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, including workstations, servers, networks, and cloud-based platforms.

Support the logistics of IT deliveries, including receiving, documenting, and organizing IT equipment and supplies.

Assist in the inventory management of IT assets, tracking hardware and software licenses.

Participate in evaluating and adopting new technologies, conducting research, and making recommendations based on organizational needs.

Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and training sessions to enhance technical skills and stay abreast of industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant degree program, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems, and network fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in common productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Passion for social justice and a commitment to the mission and values of the NGO.
  • Adaptability and a proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
  • Previous internship or relevant work experience in IT or the nonprofit sector (preferred but not required).

-Ideally internship candidates are full-time or part-time students.

-This is paid internship and the selected candidates are responsible for their own housing, transportation, and other related costs.

The expected salary range for this position is: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 annually (U.S. locations only).
