As aTransportation Coordinator you'll be responsible for all facets of outbound transportation in their regional area and balancing the competing objectives of cost and service. This position reports to the Transportation Manager and interfaces with internal customers (Transportation, Shipping, Logistics, Customer Operations) and external Transportation Coordinator has a broad spectrum of responsibilities that ultimately ensure loads are shipped to meet our customers standards and done in the most effective way possible.

What You'll Do:


Plan: Manages the planning process associated with shipping, which encompasses order recognition to execution. The planning process seeks to efficiently ship loads within quoted lead times provided to customers (45%).

Execute: Executes the planning process within the current TMS (Transportation Management) system. Works together with Transportation and Shipping Departments to create, refine, sustain, and execute business rules to make sure loads are shipped efficiently and on-time (45%).

Analyze / Report: Measure Transportation effectiveness by analyzing data and reporting on key performance indicators (10%).

The Transportation Coordinator makes day to day decisions regarding outbound transportation for their region to deliver high value customer service at optimal cost:

  • Effectively managing carrier capacity, and service.
  • Effective communication with customer operations, planning, and shipping departments to achieve business results.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving shipping issues as they occur and proactively addressing process change.

Collaboration and Interaction

  • Develops stable working relationships internally.
  • Exchanges standard/basic information with colleagues and immediate supervisor, project leaders and other professionals in the team.


Supervisory/Lead Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct reports.
  • Work is closely supervised.
  • Problems faces are not typically difficult or complex.

What You'll Bring:

Required:

  • Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills to effectively work cross functionally across the supply chain.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • One or more years of experience in customer service (preferred).
  • One or more years of experience in transportation management (preferred).
  • Experience in SAP/Blue Yonder systems software (preferred).

The expected pay range for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000 and is bonus eligible. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, market conditions, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position qualifies for benefits which may also include a discretionary bonus.
