DESCRIPTION

Contract Administrator specializing in Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (IT) contracts. The Contract Administrator's primary responsibility is to oversee the lifecycle of contracts related to IS and IT services, products, and solutions within the organization. The Contract Administrator will collaborate with various departments, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance, mitigate risks, and optimize value for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Management:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate IS/IT contracts, including software licenses, hardware acquisitions, service agreements, and maintenance contracts.
    • Ensure contracts adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
    • Maintain a repository of contracts, ensuring accurate documentation and version control.
    • Monitor contract expiration dates, renewal options, and termination clauses.
  2. Vendor Management:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with IS/IT vendors and suppliers.
    • Evaluate vendor performance against contract terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Address vendor disputes, escalations, and non-compliance issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  3. Risk Management:

    • Identify and assess risks associated with IS/IT contracts, including cybersecurity risks, data privacy concerns, and compliance issues.
    • Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to protect the organization's interests.
    • Work closely with legal counsel and cybersecurity experts to address contractual risk factors.
  4. Cost Management:

    • Monitor IS/IT contract expenditures and budgets, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
    • Review invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate billing based on contract terms and usage.
  5. Compliance and Governance:

    • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting IS/IT contracts, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ITIL.
    • Ensure contract compliance with internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
    • Facilitate audits and inspections related to IS/IT contracts, providing documentation and support as needed.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, procurement, finance, legal, and business units, to align contract strategies with organizational goals.
    • Communicate contract requirements, obligations, and updates to relevant stakeholders, fostering transparency and accountability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Legal Studies, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in contract administration, with a focus on IS/IT contracts within a corporate environment or IT consulting firm.
  • Strong understanding of IS/IT concepts, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • ISM Certification or APICS Certification.
  • Healthcare experience, preferably at a large (500+ bed) multi-facility organization.
  • Software license management experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $91,300 - $170,700 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $43.73 - $81.75

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
