Patient Driver - PRN Weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday)

Turning Point Care Center has openings for PRN patient drivers with opportunities for weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) availability. Turning Point drivers transport patients to and from various locations both local and long distance using company vehicles. The ideal candidate will be motivated, work well with direct supervision, have ability to make decisions quickly, and be able to work well in a team environment. This position's pay is $17 per hour plus shift differential pay for hours worked between 3:00pm and 7:00am. Hours for this position will vary, open availability is preferred.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants meet the following requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ten (10) years driving experience operating passenger car, van or bus.
  • One (1) year experience in a patient field, preferred.
  • Experience working with substance abuse or behavioral health patients, preferred.
  • Current Georgia Driver's License with: no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years; no multiple violations for diriving without insurance, no reckless driving, no leaving the scene of an accident, no more than 2 accident on record for the past 3 years; no DUI or DWI violations for the past 7 years.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function; reliable transportation is required. Company vehicles are used for patient transport.
