Summary

Executes and monitors all logistics activities required for the timely and efficient transportation of goods, utilizing 3rd party Common Carriers, an internal Transportation Management System, an internal dock scheduling system, and multiple Warehouse Management Systems. Ensures JIT shipments across all customers for active production lines. Maintain a high level of customer service through a proactive approach and a thorough understanding of the business.





Essential Functions

This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

* Executes daily logistics transactional tasks through efficient planning of inventory, shipments and tendering of loads to carriers using TMS systems, e-mail and phone as required.

* Monitors inventory levels, inventory locations and bottling line attainment to support a JIT throttling of components to production lines.

* Plans trucking (carrier dispatch) needs and capacity based on customer delivery needs.

* Professionally and proactively solves problems, resolves carrier issues, and escalates accordingly.

* Utilizes systems such as, but not limited to, OTM, Swisslog, Softeon, C3 Reservations/Dock Scheduler, & SAP to execute against daily tasks.

* Utilizes OTM to ensure lane management and orders are issued accurately.

* Check in and Check out all carriers utilizing our appointment system.

* Checks carriers in and out of facilities and directs them where to go and ensures understanding of driver behavior expectations.

* Executes transactions based on customer requirements in the Warehouse Management System

* Execute all necessary paperwork (Weight Certs, Seals, BOLs, Inspection sheets, and Certifications) required for every carrier that arrives on our campus.

* Prints and distributes applicable shipping documentation such as Weight Certs, Seals, BOLs, Inspection sheets, and Certifications to include validation of accuracy and compliance to shipping document protocol.

* Works in conjunction with the Warehouse team to execute daily activities, same day requests, and short/long term projects.

* Receives, completes and distributes Carrier Incident Reports to appropriate internal contacts via phone and email.

* Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

* Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and 2 years of experience in operations, transportation, truck dispatching, warehousing, or customer service.

* Required to work twelve-hour shift, day or night shift as required. Required to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as necessary.

* Experience with multitasking and time management.





Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with Oracle Transportation Management system.

* Experience critically assessing situation, solving problems, and working effectively under stress.

* Bilingual in English and Spanish.

* Experience working with carriers or drivers via an IT based model (TMS).

* Strong customer relations skills with all levels of customers both internally and externally.

* Skilled in Excel, Outlook and Access Database, proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

* Experience with a Warehouse Management System.

* Experience with coordinating activities between a Traffic Department and Warehouse Operation.

* Strong organization skills.

* Strong written and oral communication skills.

Compensation




  1. Hiring Hourly Rate: $21.44 - $25.19.

  2. Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
