Description

Award-winning Wagner Logistics, a Top 50 Third Party Logistics company providing supply chain services including distribution center management, warehousing, transportation, order fulfilment, product assembly and packaging, is seeking Warehouse Receiving Associate onsite at our customer's production facility at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO. Scheduled hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm. The starting wage is $18.00 per hour.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for the accurate storing; shipping and receiving; loading and unloading; of product to meet company standards of safety, security and productivity. He/she is not responsible for the operation of powered industrial trucks or powered equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receiving inventory efficiently, accurately and in a safe manner
  • Heavy Data Entry Skills needed for Smartsheets and WMS entry
  • Rotating product according to the customer's requirements
  • Ensuring the integrity of the inventory of customers and participating in physical inventory activities, as needed
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing or repacking as needed
  • Accurately pick and assemble orders for shipment
  • Identify damaged, lost or missing product and notify warehouse leadership immediately
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
  • Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse by conducting daily operations in accordance with safe working practices in compliance with state, local and federal regulations, and laws governing business operations
  • Interact with warehouse management, warehouse personnel, customers, vendors and the customer service team in a professional manner
  • Complete required records, reports and daily paperwork
  • Including other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Citizenship - Must be a United States Citizen Criminal Background and Pre-Employment Drug Test - Clean criminal history and pass drug test is mandatory
Education -- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Experience - minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar warehouse or distribution center environment
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
  • Basic math, counting and computer abilities
  • Strong Data Entry skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrate initiative, self-starter, reliable, follow thru and teamwork skills
  • Aptitude required to use warehouse management system(s) technology, including RF scan guns, tablets and kiosks. Experience with similar devices and processes preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist, reach and/or kneel for up to 12-hour periods of time and repetitively
  • Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty
  • Work on concrete and unlevel surfaces
  • May be required to climb ladders and stairs
  • Work around hazardous materials and may be exposed to carcinogens, toxic, and explosive materials
  • Possible exposure to areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection
  • Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights
  • Utilize muscles to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
