Overall Purpose:



The Sr Inventory Analyst will develop and implement advanced inventory optimization strategies, improve inventory turns, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory levels. The position will lead efforts to improve working capital and reduce our carrying costs, while assuring the availability of parts and materials. The Sr Inventory Analyst will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory management processes, improving operational efficiency, and ultimately contributing to DLC's overarching mission to serve as a trusted partner to customers by providing the products and service offerings for today and tomorrow.





Location: Hybrid, New Manchester Complex in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania





Job Responsibilities:




  • Implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and improve overall inventory turnover.

  • Manage inventory replenishment and allocation.

  • Create, implement, and maintain a process and procedure to identify obsolete/surplus/inactive items and make recommendations through a consensus of the respective "User Groups" for disposition.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels.

  • Enhance inventory management systems, data, processes, and performance metrics, with a lens on continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.

  • Review the results of perpetual or year-end inventory audits and support improvement opportunities with business partners as needed.

  • Develop and maintain inventory reports, dashboards, and analyze data for decision-making purposes.

  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Assist with inventory forecasting and planning.

  • Assistwith development inventory management and follow-through of policies, procedures, and inventory optimization strategies to meet short-term and long-term supply chain goals.

  • Participate in committees as a representative of the inventory process.

  • Review requests for new stores items against establishedcriteria.

  • Support inventory management system administration and capability planning.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in inventory management to continuously improve processes and efficiency.





Education/Experience:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related discipline required.

  • Seven (7+) or more years of professional supply chainexperience or a commensurate combination of education and experience required.

  • Masters degree preferred.

  • Industry certifications, such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Inventory Optimization Professional (CIOP) preferred.





Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include:




  • Strong computer skills and demonstrated experience with use of computerized/automated inventory, procurement and work order systems, and Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Experience with Maximo and Oracle systems is preferred, but not required.

  • Proficient in SQL database querying and analyzing large data sets using MS Excel.

  • Ability to summarize and present key analytical insights, results, and suggested improvements to management using MS Power Point.

  • Able to work with limited guidance and use good judgement in decisions and recommendations.

  • Ability to use problem solving on issues directly related to inventory, whether process, human, or system error.

  • Ability to effect motivation and teamwork through strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization where managing.

  • Must be a problem solver, withability to discern complicated flow data to identify origin of error and be willing to challenge thestatus quo.

Scope:



Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Accountable for managing one's own time and workflow and leads projects and/or large project steps. Work is complex in nature, requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Acts independently the majority of the time, requiring guidance in only complex situations. Has well established capabilities, acts as a resource to less experienced staff on moderately complex issues.





Hybrid Work



Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.





Storm Roles

Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
