This is a hybrid role requiring ~60% onsite work at our Hartford, WI location.

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Logistics Specialist. The role has a primary focus around carrier performance metrics, transportation KPI's, driving execution through best practice processes and supporting the US Transportation Manager/Supervisor. Duties will consist of transportation execution reviews, invoice auditing, and communication with carriers and cross functional stakeholders as required. Develops processes and supports the execution of transportation activities. Will be an agent of continuous improvement throughout transportation.

This position will mainly work within transportation initiatives but will have frequent interactions with customer services, supply chain, planning, and finance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers. Support "win-Win" solutions.
  • Support the tracking and management of carrier KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reports and work with carriers to achieve adequate levels of performance as required. KPI report cadence as instructed.
  • Perform transportation cost analysis to support other projects (i.e. product launches, new customer, mode selection, freight term changes)
  • Assist Transportation Manager/Supervisor in carrier and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) RFQ's (Request for Quote).
  • Support transportation financial reporting and development of forecasts.
  • Support Transportation Manager/Supervisor with routing guide management.
  • Update key tables in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system(s) on a quarterly cadence or as required.
  • Assist Transportation Manager/Supervisor in recognizing trends within transportation and assist in developing new processes to optimize transportation.
  • Review and support freight loss and damage claims.
  • Support and assist in creation of internal and external development of SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), training, KPI metrics and continuous improvement ideas.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-4 years' experience in a similar role in the Supply chain/Logistics industry required.
  • Prior Experience in supporting financial tasks - Month End and Invoice auditing preferred.
  • Proficient with excel and utilizing PowerBI or similar data visualization software preferred.
    • *PowerBI creation experience a plus.
  • Proficient experience; ERP system(s), TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and financial data.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent decision making and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move safely throughout all areas of the facility, with or without accommodation.
  • Use computer in an office setting for extended period of time.
