Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, assists the Inventory Control Coordinator with basic inventory control functions. Places the daily supply order, cycle counts inventory, maintains item expiry in the department, and assists with backorders and substitutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates the Central Supply stocking order in the absence of the Inventory Coordinator. Receives orders in Infor when appropriate. Checks the daily receiving paperwork for discrepancies and errors, communicates these to Purchasing. (20%)
  • Perform cycle counts as necessary and make the appropriate adjustment to inventory in Infor. Help manage the Central Supply overstock area and auxiliary storeroom. (20%)
  • Maintain item expiry in the department, review the monthly expiring item report, remove and adjust inventory as appropriate. (20%)
  • Review the daily backorder report and create a communication email to our primary vendor and Purchasing. Review the open PO report and empty bin report. (20%)
  • Perform updates and changes to the inventory label system including overstock, expiry, and ETA identifiers. Print new labels when appropriate. (20%)


Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required


Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years Inventory experience in a healthcare or similar setting required and
  • 1-3 years in a supply tech role required


Licenses:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have mathematical and organizational abilities.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to problem solve minor issues.
  • Able to work in and around a busy setting.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Ability to think critically, and prioritize tasks based on circumstances.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
