Primary Duties/responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the storage and distribution operations of raw materials and other supplies within facility.
  • Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfers.
  • Cycle count stock items and record data using the Inventory Management System.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses and storerooms.
  • Maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects.
  • Document quantity, quality, type, weight, test result data, and value of materials or products, in order to maintain shipping, receiving, and production records and files.
  • Weigh or measure materials, equipment, or products to maintain relevant records, using volume meters, scales, rules, and/or calipers.
  • Compare product labels, tags, or tickets, shipping manifests, purchase orders, and bills of lading to verify accuracy of shipment contents, quality specifications, and/or weights.
  • Collect or prepare measurement, weight, or identification labels; and attach them to products.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, testing labs to exchange information regarding products, materials, and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background:

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • 0-2 years warehouse experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to follow through on assignments

Required Certification / Licenses / Training:

  • Valid driver's license
