Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working in Trade Compliance roles, with export compliance processes.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer or client-facing role supporting trade compliance projects.
  • 5 years of experience identifying issues in export control requirements, creating solutions and working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 5 years of experience analyzing data and generating business insights in order to guide business decisions.
  • 5 years of experience in managing vendor and outsourced providers.
  • Experience providing compliance process training to non-compliance stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the Commerce Control List categories and ECCNs commonly applicable to computing and networking equipment.
  • Expertise in the foundational concepts of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and other regulations relevant to U.S. export shipments of high technology items, including export license determination and export declarations.

As a part of this team, you apply your knowledge of supply chain principles and your problem solving prowess to key logistics processes (managing vendors, shipping & receiving, inventory management, warehousing & distribution, transportation, etc.). Your diligence ensures the global delivery and life cycle management of network equipment is timely and efficient. You help the networking material supply chain by understanding the unique needs of the deployment team and defining best practices across multiple cross-functional teams. The end result of your work is the delivery of Google's products and services to millions of users around the world.

As a member of the Cloud supply chain trade compliance team focused on export controls, you will contribute to compliance and supply chain excellence for Cloud and other internal customers across Google/Alphabet. You will help ensure compliant and efficient operations, and take on project ownership opportunities that support the needs of our internal customers in our constantly growing and changing business environment. You will also collaborate with other subject-matter experts, business units, and cross-functional stakeholders on the development of new policies and processes to meet Google's corporate trade compliance requirements.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Assess trade compliance risks for new products and supply chain programs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all compliance requirements are met.
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of compliance automation solutions.
  • Contribute to export classification, licensing, and compliance audit programs in the U.S. and other countries.
