This position is typically Monday - Friday with occasional weekends. Hours scheduled vary 6:30am - 6:30pm.

Position is based at our Oconomowoc Showroom.

Job Purpose:

Drive a pick-up truck with trailer or box truck to transport assembled furniture for delivery to residential and commercial customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Load and unload truck with product and supplies.
• Drive route and deliver furniture as directed.
• Use electronic log to track, check, prioritize, and route orders.
• Verify order is correct and complete paperwork.
• Provide exceptional service in all customer interactions.
• Organize Customer Pickup and distribution area.
• Occasionally make minor repairs and assembly at the customer location.
• Remain compliant with housekeeping standards and all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Recommend new and better processes and methods to supervisor.
• Work with other departments and Showroom team on various assignments as necessary.
• Maintain a clean driving record and report all incidents or damages immediately.
• Exercise professional and courteous driving. Obey all laws and ordinances.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class D driver's license with a clean driving record and DOT medical certification.
• Experience using power and hand tools such as drill and screw gun.
• Experience driving box truck and/or trailer.
• Understand and follow written, verbal, and mapped directions.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Occasional travel to store locations/trade shows in another state.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year experience as a Delivery Driver.

Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly stand, sit, and frequently walk, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee must stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders, lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, carrying and moving parts, materials, and product. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
