Location: Onsite in Jacksonville, FL


Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5om




What work will you perform?


You will supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Compliance team. You will provide guidance and training to staff to ensure complex operations are carried out in a productive manner. You will lead by example and ensure all necessary government regulations are complied with in a timely manner. Your ability to ensure productivity measures are met while fostering a culture focused on quality and accountability will help ensure the team's success.




Essential Responsibilities:



  • Coach and mentor employees by providing regular feedback and training

  • Maintain effective workflow such as various queries, email boxes, faxes, DVIRs, Carb and FSMA

  • Collaborate and communicate with other departments within Landstar

  • Observe phone calls for accuracy of information

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for department

  • Assist in auditing equipment and operator files for accuracy and Driver Remedial/Termination of lease

  • Download inspections daily from FMCSA Portal

  • Handle escalated calls from Operators, Agents and other departments within Landstar

  • Participate in group presentations to Agents, Operators and Employees.

  • Assist in Audits by Regulatory Agents



  • Monitor Vendor Invoices in Palette for payment



Required Minimum Experience and Education:



  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent experience

  • 1 year of transportation industry experience



Preferred Experience and Education:



  • 1 year of direct supervisory experience



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Efficient in Microsoft Office

  • Analytical problem solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Superb interpersonal skills

  • Professional demeanor

  • Good organizational skills
