Supply Chain Solutions Analyst II, Continuous Improvement

The Supply Chain Continuous Improvement (CI) team owns process and technology design initiatives within "Supply Chain Solutions" which is shaping the future of how the Supply Chain department operates. In CI, we design processes and systems that help decide how we plan, when inventory will be available, where we produce, and how much to produce or stock to fulfill orders. We support all Supply Chain functions: Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Raw Materials Planning and Production Planning to enable the department to keep our customers happy and yet maintain efficient operations.

The Supply Chain Analyst II, Continuous Improvement (CI) is responsible for supporting process improvement initiatives in one or more of the Supply Chain functions. He/she will build business cases for improvement projects, collaborate with Supply Chain stakeholders to brainstorm solutions and partner with Continuous Development (IT team) to operationalize technology-based business processes.

Essential Functions

  • Utilizes Lean and Six Sigma techniques to analyze processes, identifies improvement opportunities and builds business cases.
  • Develops process maps and other documents to illustrate current and future states of processes and train team members.
  • Participates in design workshops aimed at brainstorming solutions.
  • Develops decision support tools to facilitate quicker decision making and improve team member efficiency.
  • Develops Business Requirements and Product Requirements documents for Technology improvements.
  • Participates in software design discussions aimed at identifying the best solution to address business needs.
  • Develops User Acceptance Test criteria and tests new functionality before it is deployed to production environments.
  • Prepares Standard Operating Procedures, Business Process documents and slide decks for training team members on Supply Chain tools and software.
  • Analyzes relevant data and KPIs and builds business cases for improvement projects.
  • Advises Supply Chain leadership on methods and technologies that can support end to end optimization of the supply chain and sustain high performance.

Must be flexible to work at night or on weekends at times depending on the severity of the needs, so being on-call is necessary to support the production environment and keep operations running.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2 Years - Experience working in Consumer Goods or Food and Beverages industry
  • 2 Years - Experience in Technology Consulting or Product Management
    • Experience with an ERP software such as Oracle EBS, SAP, JD Edwards

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 4 Years - Experience working in Consumer Goods or Food and Beverages industry
    • 4 Years - Experience in Technology Consulting or Product Management
      • Experience with an ERP software such as Oracle EBS, SAP, JD Edwards
      • Knowledge of machine learning and optimization techniques used for Supply Chain Planning

  • Ability to model and Supply Chain problems using Excel and other systems and recommend solutions.
  • Solid understanding of one of more Supply Chain functions and ability to identify key areas of opportunity and leading changes.
  • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations; Demonstrates ability to communicate well with other team members and with non-technical end users; Demonstrates refined and comprehensive presentation skills.

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Information Technology/Business Analytics/Systems Engineering or another related field
  • Preferred:
    • Master's Degree in Supply Chain/Information Technology/Business Analytics/Systems Engineering or another related field
