TikTok Shop's Supply Chain & Logistics is looking for an experienced Carrier Management Leader to oversee carrier relationships, optimize transportation operations, and ensure efficient and cost-effective freight movements across our supply chain network. You will lead a team of carrier management specialists, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance carrier performance, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the carrier management team and oversee all aspects of carrier relationships, including contract negotiations, performance management, and strategic planning to support TikTok's transportation objectives.
- Develop and implement carrier management strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize carrier performance, reduce transportation costs, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation service providers globally, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational requirements, and customer expectations.
- Negotiate carrier contracts, rates, and service agreements based on transportation needs, lane requirements, capacity constraints, and market conditions to achieve cost savings and service excellence.
- Monitor carrier performance metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and conduct regular performance reviews to evaluate carrier performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, operations, and sales, to align carrier management strategies with business priorities, inventory management needs, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), logistics software, and data analytics tools to analyze transportation data, optimize routing, and make data-driven decisions to improve carrier operations and service levels.
- Lead initiatives to onboard new carriers, expand carrier networks, and develop strategic partnerships to enhance transportation capabilities, coverage, and flexibility.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in transportation and carrier management to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices within TikTok's carrier management function.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in carrier management, transportation operations, logistics leadership, or related roles within the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
- Strong understanding of transportation modes (air, ocean, rail, trucking), carrier networks, freight rates, transportation technologies, and industry best practices in carrier management.
- Experience in negotiating carrier contracts, managing carrier relationships, and optimizing transportation costs and service levels to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
- Leadership experience with the ability to lead and develop a team, manage projects, and drive collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strategic thinker with analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve carrier performance and service quality.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, build strong partnerships, and drive results.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), logistics software, and data analytics tools for transportation planning, optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed for business meetings, conferences, and carrier management activities.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $132000 - $266400 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
