Job Summary

  • Ensure daily functions of warehouse are carried out in a safe and productive manner to enable same day shipping

  • Enforce proper procedures for logging, storing, loading, or unloading of incoming inventory

  • Supervise the work of warehouse employees

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assign, train, and supervise the work of warehouse staff on a particular shift

  • Delegate and prioritize picking of customer orders and explain proper picking and stock rotation procedures

  • Verify orders are shipped with the correct products, including all tinting

  • Train warehouse personnel regarding proper procedures to complete bills of lading

  • Receive and accurately note all discrepancies in inbound freight

  • Operate and demonstrate proper use of wands or scanner guns to detect errors in inbound shipments

  • Check orders for potential documentation errors such as improper destinations, order quantities, product marking, packaging, bills of lading, and shipping manifests

  • Supervise operations to ensure orders are picked up properly

  • Account for all inbound/outbound stock

  • Maintain communication with Distribution Administrators regarding stock levels and inventory control needs

  • Observe and correct safety and security violations and enforce Regional Distribution Center administrative

Education and Experience

  • Educational attainment equivalent to high school education

  • Considerable inventory management and warehousing experience, including work in a lead capacity is required

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Considerable knowledge of inventory control, ordering, stock rotation, and product storage methods

  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and techniques

  • Communication skills

  • Knowledge of Regional Distribution Center administration practices

  • Knowledge of safety and security practices

  • Knowledge of tinting, shaking, and forklift equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting procedures

  • Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck, rider jack, wrapper machine, order picker, computer, tint machine, and slip sheet machine attachment
