Your future position?

Our Logistics team is itself on a journey: to provide the very best service to our customers, reducing costs, and building in factors to make it a much more sustainable event, whenever we use a truck, ship or plane.

You will learn to process daily responsibilities of the Transportation Planner to meetinternaland external customer needs. Improve individual process consistency, accuracy, and timeliness based on increasing experience.

You will report to the Trade Affairs & Transportation Manager and be located in our Cincinnati site with an hybrid working model (2 day at home and 3 days at the office).

You will:

• Support and Coordinate:Assist Customer Care, Planning, and Shipping Departments with routing decisions, providing least cost/best service analysis. Coordination of carrier pick up / delivery appointments with outside warehouses. First contact on expedites and any shipment of 10 or more pallets, or more than 10,000 lbs. Provide domestic transportation rate quotes.
• Resolve:Identify the right communication method based on the sense of urgency and issue. Know how to diffuse a difficult situation and get resolution with the customers. Resolve daily carrier operational issues. Provide tracking/tracing services to internal customers. Verify accessorial charges and contact the responsible person for confirmation and approval.
• Manage and Communicate:Manage shipping process from planning completion through shipment delivery for assigned customers and sites. Maintain an internal routing guide for use by shipping, customer care, and purchasing departments. Participate in carrier meetings/reviews with a focus on daily operations. Implement and maintain shipping instructions on purchase orders.

Your professional profile includes (or will include after your time with us):

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related degree.
• 2 to 3 years of previous experience in Shipping, Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain.
• Proficiency in a commonly used ERP system, Google and Microsoft Suite
• Lead department improvement activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and common transportation terminology
• Understanding of transportation rate structures
