Responsibilities
Load and unload railcars and trailers according to written and oral load sheets at Plant. Operate forklift in the loading and unloading of railcars and trailers. Move foam to loading areas by hand or with powered equipment. Final quality assurance inspection duties before loading and must be able to identify and react to foam defects- holes, splits, poor structure, contamination, dimensions, etc. Must be able to identify different grades and pore sizes in scrap foam bales. Inspect trailers for damage prior to loading or off-loading goods. Inspects and periodically performs basic maintenance of towmotors prior to use. Search for and locates orders for shipment throughout plant production areas. Must perform other duties as directed by their supervisor when not acting as a Material Handler/Driver.
Qualifications
Training for Right-To-Know, Emergency Response, and forklift safe operation. Gloves, protective clothing. forklift, scales, drum carts, come-along, and battery charging unit. Lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, walking and standing on concrete floors for long periods, riding and manuvering at forklift for long periods. Non air conditioned work area. Frequent blasts of cold air in winter months form loading door area.
