Overview

The Supply Chain Systems Program and Analyst will provide system support to the procurement organization to achieve institute goals and objectives. Reporting directly to the Director Supply Chain Systems, Analytics, Reporting, Communications within DFCI Supply Chain, this role will develop an extensive understanding of DFCI's Supply Chain systems, data, and processes. The role will also work closely with senior team members to support the supply chain systems and data integrations. The ideal candidate will be able to translate physical and business processes into technical specifications and requirements. They will use interpersonal and problem-solving skills to gather information from different sources to recommend system solutions.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in technical analysis to improve supply chain operations and works to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Works collaboratively with partners in IT, business areas and vendors in understanding, documenting, and enhancing business requirements to create technical, and/or functional specifications
  • Participate in the creation of requirements, design, build, validation, implementation, and/or maintenance of IT application systems and/or infrastructure solutions in support of our current, and future business needs
  • Helps document integration needs and design/development/solution patterns that can be reused optimally
  • Performs solution verification to ensure the solution is built in accordance with the specifications meeting business and technical requirements
  • Provides support and/or interfaces with support teams, internal or external, to ensure business and technical issues with applications and/or infrastructure are resolved timely and effectively
  • Participates/partnership with business partners and QA, in creating and executing test plans for SIT/UAT along with data preparation
  • Provides analytical support of periphery programs to support supply chain goals and objectives of the organization
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and deliver on project related tasks
  • Responsible for providing actionable data to all members of the supply chain
  • Assists in the development of key reporting tools
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field
  • Experience with project management and coordinating with multiple groups
  • Passionate about non-profit research and clinical work
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with business intelligence, visualization, and visual storytelling

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Experience building queries to extract data, data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of relational databases, design, and structures
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; strong presentation development skills
  • Ability to function with the support of their manager in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be detailed and accurate
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
