Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Maintenance Program:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive maintenance programs and schedules for all assets, including equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish maintenance priorities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational needs.
  • Regularly review and optimize maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency, minimize downtime, and extend asset lifespan and ensure DOT compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records within the maintenance management system, of maintenance activities, including schedules, inspections, repairs, and costs.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to schedule maintenance activities, procure necessary parts and materials, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
  • Assist in the development of maintenance budgets, forecasts, and expenditure plans.
  • Monitor expenses and resource utilization, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Procure necessary supplies and services in accordance with budgetary constraints and operational requirements
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards related to maintenance practices and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies through regular inspections, audits, and documentation.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate regular reports and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of maintenance programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze data trends and maintenance metrics to anticipate maintenance needs, optimize resource allocation, and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Experience with fleet and/or asset management systems or administration experience with asset database systems.
  • Basic understanding of heavy trucks, trailers, equipment, and rebuilding equipment.
  • Valid, clean driver's license.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • Must have computer skills and experience with Word & Excel.
