The Warehouse Logistics Manager is a key member of the Taghleef Industries management team proactively working with Manufacturing, Sales, and other functional groups globally to maximize efficiencies and minimize total supply chain cost.

Accountable for leading, developing and executing warehouse functions in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment. These functions include, but are limited to, safety and security, domestic and import/export inbound and outbound management, staffing, management and talent development, facility and equipment maintenance, and inventory management.

This position will also work closely with the Global Logistics team in developing a “best in class” international logistics program by balancing cost, efficiencies, continuous improvement, and relationships with vendors and internal partners.

The Warehouse Logistics Manager is also responsible for regulatory compliance, such as OSHA, AIB, and BRC.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with key decision makers to develop the Logistics strategy, roadmap, and plan that optimizes cost and service levels.

• Helps identify and implement a logistics network that optimizes delivery performance, customer satisfaction and total cost in alignment with the overall supply chain strategy.

• Develops planning models to support inventory optimization.

• Analyzing network warehouse optimization opportunities for cost, inventory, and service.

• Establishes the optimal number and location of network warehouse configuration.

• Manages direct Logistics category spend of approximately $25M annually.

• Oversee Supply Chain 3PL/Freight Forwarder program including contract and rate negotiation for container management, origin distribution, LCL, airfreight, and consolidation.

• Has responsibility for achieving function savings, budget, business plan goals.

• Accountable for results as defined by individual and team KPI´s.

• Ability to develop and deliver presentations for executive level visibility.

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

• Demonstrates safety leadership in conjunction with the EHS Manager by establishing and maintaining all policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.

• Ensures combining of loads for inbound and outbound trucks as possible to meet service requirements and cost-effective traffic control measures.

• Ensures trailers are loaded properly, accurately, safely, and on time.

• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

• Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to team members in a manner consistent with Our Values and ensures alignment with plant and company goals.

• Establishes procedures, documents, and work instructions as they relate to receiving and inventory management systems. Trains personnel and holds them accountable for following those procedures.

• Responsible for day-to-day execution and accountability for the warehouse team performance, including providing work direction, compliance with Company policies and procedures, training, administration of vacations, overtime, and discipline, etc.

• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with SAP.

• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

• Audits billing, to ensure appropriate charges for proper invoicing / contractual requirements.

• Works to resolve in-transit damage issues. When damage occurs from a shipment, investigates the reason why and assists with holding the carriers responsible for the damage.

• Oversees the resolution of logistics related issues such as labeling mistakes, packing list problems and misplaced product within the warehouse.

• Partners with Operations to resolve material handling issues as they relate to warehousing or inventory movements.

• Oversees corrective action is taken to resolve each problem for overages, shortages, and damaged.

• Works with Corporate to review carrier service levels and define needs.

• Responsible for inventory re-allocations, movements, and dispositions.

• Responsible for routine and impromptu purchases per Company guidelines.

• Responsible for maintaining and distributing various reports.

• Responsible for interviewing, hiring and the performance management of department personnel.

• Required to learn and provide backup support, as needed, for other team members

• Perform assigned GMP activities in the individual’s work area as defined.

• Clean up messes or other housekeeping issues as soon as reasonable; this will include an overall ‘clean as you go’ mentality.

• Report any known or discovered contamination or other food safety risk to product to their direct supervisor immediately.

• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration with at least 10+ years of related experience or equivalent.

• Minimum of 7 years management experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of inventory and warehouse management experience.

• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, SAP and TMS systems required.

• Experience with Access or other database systems preferred.

• Must have a working knowledge of logistics, transportation and the regulations that apply to the industry, including federal or state regulations as they pertain to the shipment or receipt of material.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead in a team-based culture.

• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.

• Excellent coaching skills with a proven track record or driving improvements in others and creating high performance work teams.

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in “group”.

• Expertise in establishing warehouse management procedures and best practices.
