The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced Distribution Coordinator to optimize our Distribution and Logistics team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.
This role will be a full-time position based out of our Paris, Kentucky facility. You will have the opportunity to prepare, analyze, and communicate reports while fulfilling adminstrative duties for the department. If you have warehouse or clerical experience - let's talk!
The team
Avantor Performance Materials is part of our Lab and Production Services business unit. This team supports the innovation and growth objectives of major laboratories across the globe by helping with the integration of new technology solutions into their lab processes and operations.
What we're looking for
- Education: High school diploma required
- Experience: 1+ years experience in warehouse or clerical work
- Microsoft office expertise, including Outlook and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience strongly preferred
How you will thrive and create an impact
* Ensures proper procedures are met per customer shipping specifications prior to shipping.
* Processes paperwork (bill of ladings) for shipments.
* Works directly with leaders in various departments to ensure shipments are processed accurately and sets up for proper delivery means.
* Communicates with LTL carriers to ensure there is enough room on the truck for product.
* Maintains and supports general logistics issues by either email or phone with carriers for delivery and/or pickup.
* Performs, analyzes and communicates all reports weekly/monthly/yearly.
