The Supervisor works directly with frontline leadership and Contributors to drive a culture of engagement, increase personal development, as well as leadership effectiveness. This role is responsible for delivering exemplary coaching to frontline Contributors and Leaders to enhance performance and drive business results.Ideal candidate for this role has a high degree of resourcefulness, is an excellent communicator, thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment, and is passionate about helping others reach their full potential.







Essential Responsibilities




  • Supervise the picking, packing, receiving and distribution functions within the designated area

  • Actively develop your team of Group Leads - coaches and counsels with integrity

  • Engage, develop and motivate a team of contributors to meet or exceed operational goals, as well as monitoring performance, providing coaching, counseling, and development; and use Key Performance Indicators to make ongoing improvements and enhancements

  • Support the team with a working knowledge of RF processes using RF scanning equipment

  • Maintain acceptable production and quality levels to ensure the performance metrics of the business are met

  • Manages the day to day expectations of staff, including performance of scheduled reviews, managing corrective action, in partnership with HR, participates in the interviewing and selection of staff.

  • Conduct periodic meetings with assigned staff to communicate company policy, process changes, workloads, safety topics

  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process revisions as necessary

  • Plan daily workload based upon forecast and schedule the team appropriately

  • Work within and promote established safety and quality standards

  • Demonstrate practical application of quality concepts such as 5S and Kaizen to improve quality performance of assigned area of responsibility.

  • Help contributors understand and connect to our vision, mission, strategy and business priorities



Skills:




  • Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict; ability to provide feedback and develop other leaders

  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms.

  • Management and leadership skills including experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations is required

  • Ability to establish and maintain leadership credibility and authenticity.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects.



REQUIREMENTS:




  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in related field strongly preferred

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience coaching individuals and teams




  • Have a basic knowledge and understanding of quality concepts such as kaizen/lean six sigma/5S principals

  • Knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Tools preferred
